An absolute stunner statement piece!
This Art Nouveau–inspired necklace is made from the handle of a vintage silver plated spoon, carefully cut, shaped, and polished into a long, elegant pendant. The natural curve of the handle gives the piece a graceful flow, typical of the soft, organic lines associated with the Art Nouveau style. Engraved along the length of the handle is a Scottish motif featuring a thistle, a poppy, and stems of wheat.
The silver has been polished to highlight the raised details while keeping some of its vintage character. Suspended from a curb chain, the pendant sits neatly along the neckline. The finished piece blends history and craftsmanship, turning a once-everyday object into meaningful, wearable jewellery.
Re-purposed from a 1860's Victorian spoon by Sheffield makers Roberts & Slater, featuring the most detailed relief design of a poppy, thistle and wheat Scottish inspired-motifs.
Finished with a polish and an antique patina on the relief to enhance the stunning detail.
Material: Silver plated, silver plated curb chain
Size: 55mm x 8-20mm
Gift wrapping: Every item of Silver Birch Jewellery comes beautifully wrapped ready to gift.
Items made from vintage flatware are treasures with a history and a story. They may show evidence of their past through minor marks which I was unable to remove when polishing, but this only adds to the wonderful story it has to tell.

Art Nouveau Necklace
This is the most stunning necklace, a really unusual piece of jewellery which will be a talking point when worn. I have purchased this for my best friend who is Sheffield born and bred (the flatware is originally from Sheffield) and it features a beautiful thistle (her mum was from Edinburgh), so this piece is perfect for her. The necklace arrived in super quick time and was beautifully and carefully wrapped when it arrived, I could not be happier. This seller could be dangerous though... very dangerous for my bank balance - the pieces are exceptionally well priced and the necklace I have purchased looks nicer in the flesh than it even does on the website - I would highly recommend :-)
