Amy Stevenson is the designer behind Silver Birch Jewellery, founded just after her first son was born in 2011.

Being creative has always been apart of me as I grew up, art and design was always my escape. I loved drawing and painting but where I found my passion was very much the making of things, sculpture and three-dimensional forms.

I’m strongly drawn to nature and the wonderful intricate forms you discover as you stop to take a closer look but also the simplicity of a silhouette. Bringing those to life in beautiful pieces of jewellery combines both my passions perfectly.

After graduating in 2003 with a BA (Hons) degree in Jewellery Design I set up a workshop almost straight away. One of my first collections drew inspiration directly from nature with the use of wood veneer to enhance my beautiful silver designs which are still going strong and loved by you today.

From my home studio in a Cambridgeshire village in the Fens, inspiration comes from my family walks in the local woods with my husband, two boys and our dog. We are very lucky to have the largest Silver Birch tree woodland in England right on our doorstep.

Through my work, incorporating Sterling Silver and 9ct Gold I capture those cherished possessions in life, to remind you of the ones you treasure and the landmark moments in your life.
